Khaleda Zia’s ‘complete health check-up’ begins in London

Doctors at the London Clinic have started a complete health check-up of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. Her personal doctor in London, Professor AZM Zahid Hossain, informed the media on Wednesday.

Zahid Hossain said, “Madam’s complete health check-up has started from today (Wednesday). She will undergo various tests in the next four days. During this time, her doctors (doctors at the London Clinic) will come to see her at home.”

Khaleda Zia’s personal doctor also said, “She (Khaleda Zia) may also be taken to the London Clinic for some tests. There are several tests that are being done in the next few days, which are being done in consultation with doctors. When asked when Khaleda Zia can return home, Zahid Hossain said, “The doctors here will review the reports of the tests that the doctors have asked for and then make the next decision – how soon she can be discharged.”

When asked how the BNP chairperson is now, Zahid Hossain added, “Alhamdulillah, Madam’s mental and physical condition is stable now. Mentally, she is much better than ever before. Much better.”

Recently, a video of Khaleda Zia sitting in a wheelchair in a London park has been circulating on social media. When asked about this, Zahid Hossain said, “Yesterday (Tuesday) she (Khaleda Zia) was just taken out of the car in a wheelchair and turned around. It was not cold, so she was turned around for a while. She was taken out of the car and turned around in a local park (in South-West Inner London) to feel a little better. What else? This was done thinking that Madam would like it a little better if she showed her the colorful flowers and gardens of the park.’BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment at Tarique Rahman’s residence under the supervision of London Clinic’s specialist doctors Professor Patrick Kennedy and Professor Jennifer Cross.

She went to London in January this year for advanced treatment. She was undergoing treatment at The Clinic Hospital in London from January 8 to 24. Since then, she has been receiving treatment at Tarique Rahman’s residence.
